Mary’s Digital Reflection!
It has been an eventful and exciting couple of weeks here at Invicta. With the week before last being a ‘snow week’ we were provided with lots of fun opportunities for sledging and of course snowball fights!
Last week, Year 8 were lucky enough to go on a History trip to Ypres in Belgium. Although the weather was miserable it was a great trip. There were chances to walk in real trenches and visit a war museum to see things that have survived from the war! We also got some shopping time which many people spent buying Belgium chocolate; some of which did not make it home! Although the excitement of this trip is over, when we returned, we still had the postponed World Book Day to look forward to! This was a great chance to dress up as our favourite characters and so many people got involved in this having huge amounts of fun! There was even a book fair which meant we had a chance to buy some books and step away from digital technology for a while if we wanted to! This was a great opportunity as it allowed us time to reflect on how much we use technology and try to ensure we have some balance with regards to how much we use it in our lives. All in all a wonderful and different few weeks here at school.
