Invicta is One of the Best UK Secondary Schools 2021
Mrs Beales sent this report:
Invicta Grammar School is ranked 89th in the Sunday Times Parent Power Best UK Schools Guide 2021.
This table places Invicta the best school in Maidstone by a long way. Its performance is also comparable with the super selective schools in Kent. Invicta admits any students who pass the Kent selection test whereas super selective schools only admit the students with the highest pass marks.
Parent Power used the average examination results in 2017-2019 for the Schools Guide this year due to examinations being cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
Invicta students make exceptional progress during their school career. The examination success together with our Personal Development Programme, which is unique to Invicta, fully prepares students for higher education and employment. These achievements were attained alongside the outstanding charity and community work. Invicta students raised over £50,000 for charity every year.
We are thrilled to have all the hard work by students, parents and teachers recognised in this way. We have a wonderful family ethos in our approach to supporting students to ‘be the very best they can be.’ This outcome highlights that by working together, our school community becomes the best that it can be. We are also particularly proud of the fact that our curriculum is broad, balanced and unique in its approach; enabling students to explore new interests along with broadening their horizons. We are aware that examination results are important, but it is equally important to get the balance of academia and personal development if we are to prepare our students for their very important next steps.
