Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday, 2 October
Mrs Le Sbirel sent this report:
Our first fundraising event of the year will be the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday, 2 October. In previous years, Year 7 students provide the cakes and sell them in the Hall at break. This is normally a very busy event with hundreds of students buying and enjoying their cakes. Obviously it is not possible to hold the event in this fashion as it would not comply with Covid-19 and social distancing rules. As a result, we have decided that everyone can bring their own cake to eat at break and we will raise money by having a non-uniform day. The rules regarding non-uniform days can be found in the student planner. There will be a House Competition on the day for the photo of the most imaginative arrangement of cakes from each form. Perhaps you will build a pyramid of cupcakes? Perhaps you will decorate your cakes so that they send us a message or have your face on them? Will you go for an animal theme, or maybe minions? Here are some examples to get you thinking. I look forward to see your ideas!
