Eurovicta 2020
Holly and Murran in 7I sent this report:
Every single Year 7 form worked incredibly hard on their Eurovicta performances and contributed to designing costumes and props to give them the best possible chance to succeed; the teachers also helped by choosing the songs and encouraging team spirit. Every group deserved to win, but the judges did have to choose their top 3.
First place was awarded to 7C, whom performed the German song “Bella Donna”. All of the girls performing wore summery clothes and made sure they brought their pool floats and sun cream. Everyone in the audience loved it and sang along when they performed again at the end. Their choreography matched the mood and the dance was synchronised perfectly. The girls were absolutely thrilled to hear the news that they had won, and they will be performing again next year for Eurovicta 2021.
In second place, came 7N with their Spanish song “La Venda” sharing the message to be who you are and live life to the fullest. All the girls contributed to an amazing performance with singing and dancing. They wore lovely costumes, which were all coloured just like the Spanish flag, and had loud and clear voices when they sang. Everyone worked hard together to make sure their performance was perfectly choreographed.
Last but not least, 7I came third place after performing “On dirait,” a French song about random acts of kindness. Their performance consisted of many solo singers as well as the whole form singing, and a dance to match the theme. At the end, balloons the colours of the French flag were thrown into the audience. 7I also all wore coloured t-shirts to match the French flag. It was evident that they worked very hard on their performance.
Thank you to all of Year 7, the languages teachers and the Sixth Formers for planning and organising Eurovicta to make it as amazing as it was; and well done to all of the winners!
