Primary Literacy Challenge
On Friday, 24 January, local primary schools attended our Literacy Challenge Day. We were really impressed that after a few ice-breaking activities throughout the day, students were actively volunteering to stand in front of the audience to share their stories at the closing of the event. During the event, students were able to develop their literacy and oracy skills through a range of games, building confidence and mixing with students from other schools.
All of the groups worked hard to gain points, however, at the end of the event our winners were revealed. A huge well done to Kings Hill School for achieving first place, and Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough for a very close second place! Everyone worked incredibly hard, and we look forward to seeing who will win the event next year.
