An Individualised Curriculum
An Individualised Curriculum at Invicta
At Invicta, we build our curriculum with an ‘individualised’ approach whilst seeking to develop growth mindsets, thinking skills and habits for success to nurture life-long learners and prepare our students for their lives in the modern world.
We seek to challenge and stimulate the minds of our students through outstanding teaching, excellent opportunities to learn beyond the classrooms and a rich and balanced curriculum. We are proud of our curriculum as it provides challenge, pace, and variety at all levels to suit individual students.
We adopt a two year Key Stage 3 and three year Key Stage 4 programme, in addition to almost thirty courses offered at A level in Key Stage 5. We believe our academic curriculum is challenging, exciting and designed specifically for our highly motivated and able students.
Transition from Year 6 to Year 7
For the majority of students, their school career at Invicta starts whilst they are still at primary school. The wide range of transition workshops, competitions, festivals and challenges that we organise in partnership with local primary schools offer students a flavour of secondary school life when they are in Year 4 or 5.
Once students have received their confirmed places at Invicta in Year 6, they are invited to a series of familiarisation workshops in different subjects and take part in various exciting team building and taster sessions.
