Joining Invicta in September 2021
At Invicta, we value the importance of a smooth transition from primary to secondary school. We recognise that it is a big step for students and parents. As such, we aim to provide a wide range of opportunities to enable students to feel at home quickly; to settle into our academic and social environment and to feel part of the Invicta community.
Invicta has an excellent induction programme, which starts in Year 5 and includes a variety of activities ranging from Year 5 Workshops, Open Evenings, Taster Mornings and 11+ Preparation Workshops. We have provided detailed information regarding all these events in the Year 5 Transition Booklet for Parents 2019 - 2020 found below. This booklet contains information on events that can be booked via our online booking system by parents. Click here to access the online booking system.
The programme continues in to Year 6 with Transition Workshops and a number of New Entrant’s Events for students who have been offered a place at Invicta. The girls who join us in September 2021 will be our Class of 2028, when they complete their studies.
Year 5 students will also have the opportunity to attend Public Speaking, Literacy, Mathematical and STEM Challenges at Invicta. Students are selected and places booked by their primary schools. We contacted primary schools in July 2019 with information regarding dates and topics. Please do remind your daughter’s primary school about these events.
We do hope your daughter will attend these events and we look forward to welcoming you and your family to Invicta Grammar School.
If you have students who will/may be sitting the Kent Test for entry to grammar school, the company who create the tests for KCC (GL Assessment) now have free familiarisation tests published on their website: here.
