Year 10 Rewards visit to Disneyland Paris
Miss Gulvin, Head of Year 9 sent us this report:
“Last week, saw the visit Year 10 had been waiting for; after a year working hard and a week of rigorous exams before half term, the students had their 3-day reward trip to Disneyland Paris.
Thursday morning, saw 161 excited girls descend on the coaches ready for fun, freedom and fast food! A short ferry ride and a slightly longer coach journey later, we all arrived at the Disney Village ready to go souvenir shopping and start the sightseeing.
There were a few bleary eyes at breakfast the next morning but that did not hamper the enthusiasm. By 10.30am some students had already tackled Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Rollercoaster, certainly two of the more thrilling rides in the parks! After many more rides, ice creams, and character ‘meet and greets,’ it was time to watch the light and firework show in front of Disney Castle. As expected, Disney put on a great display to some of our most favourite tunes.
We did not let the tiredness stop us from making the most of the half day on Saturday – Space Mountain definitely seemed like a favourite option that day! There was just enough time to get a few last minute souvenirs before starting the coach journey back home. Even the sunset was beautiful sailing back into Dover.
Year 10 behaved impeccably on the trip and were a delight to take away. Many thanks to all students that attended and contributed to a very rewarding visit.”
Thank you to Miss Gulvin and her team for making this such a successful visit.
