World Challenge Colour Run
In July 39 students and 3 staff will be travelling from Invicta to take part in a World Challenge expedition to Kerala, Southern India. The two-week expedition involves a trek through the tea and spice plantations of the Western Ghats, a community project and time in the local area. Since September, the students have been working very hard to raise money for their experience of a lifetime.
On Friday, 31 March, the Year 12 World Challenge students organised a Colour Run, for the whole school to celebrate the hard work and fantastic achievements of the students over the last term and to raise funds for their summer expedition.
Luckily the weather was in their favour and, once lunchtime arrived, all students made their way to the field for music and a picnic before the messy afternoon started. The World Challenge students led a warm up before letting each year group loose on the Colour Run course. Before long, students emerged from a rainbow cloud covered in powder paint but full of smiles! It was a perfect event end a busy term and start a well-deserved Easter break.
Mrs Derrick said “We are thrilled once again, to see how resourceful our students are in raising such a fantastic sum of money. Not only do our girls learn so much about one another in situations like this, they gain amazing leadership experience and have fun along the way! It is a credit to the great organisation and teamwork of the girls leading this wonderful charity event. The photos really do highlight what a lovely event this was!”
Good Luck to Miss Gulvin and the World Challengers
