Announcement

Invicta Grammar School's A Level students achieve an outstanding set of results once again!

Invicta is thrilled for their students’ future once again, as Year 13 students achieved superb results with 73% of all grades being A*, A or B grades this year. These grades reflect the dedication and hard work of our students who have also raised over £50,000 - an exceptional amount of money for both local and national charities in 2017-2018.

Invicta is proud to be voted the best school in Kent by parents in the Real School’s Guide survey earlier this summer. Our examination results are an apt reflection of this parental confidence.

Out of a cohort of 156 Year 13 students, nearly 200 A* and A grades were achieved, with 100% A* - E grades and 10.5% A* grades being obtained.

This year, we are delighted that more than a third (35%) of all our Year 13 students achieved A* to B grade in two or more facilitating subjects. This is a remarkable achievement which has provided life-changing opportunities for more of our students than ever before to access the Russell Group universities.

We are also delighted to report that a significant number of students have successfully secured Cambridge, Medicine, Veterinary Science and Dentistry places:

Victoria Starling – will study Music at Cambridge.

Muskaan Ali – will study Dentistry at King’s College.

Alice Hill – will study Dentistry at Cardiff

Mae Jones – will study Veterinary Science at Surrey.

Hannah Stanley – will study Veterinary Science at Surrey.

Katie Walker – will study Medicine at Nottingham.

Isabelle Donnelly - will study Medicine at Newcastle.

Julie Derrick, Headteacher, commented “I am extremely proud and excited about the wonderful futures for our students, given the outstanding examination results that they have achieved this year. More Invicta students than ever before will head off to the best universities; continuing the exciting journey that they started with us seven years ago. I am grateful to the hard work and dedication of all the staff at Invicta and the invaluable support of our parents. I am proud of our partnership which has greatly benefited our hard working students.”

“Our students have yet again risen to the challenge of combining their own academic achievement with charitable work, to not only give themselves the best

possible opportunities moving forward, but also to improve the lives of others in their local, national and international community.”

The school is delighted with notable achievements for the following students who obtained the following combination of A* grades:

Bryony Jenner – 3 A* grades

Sophie Scott – 3 A* grades

Hannah Stanley – 3 A* grades

Eleanor Kemp – 2 A* and 2 A grades

Honor Bolton – 2 A* and 1 A grades

Daisy Hillier – 2 A* and 1 A grades

Eden Reynolds – 2 A* and 1 A grades

Alanna Shand – 2 A* and 1 A grades

At Invicta, we value the enrichment and personal development of our students. Our Extended Project Qualification results are testament to the fact that our students thrive on the opportunities they have through our curriculum, to develop their independent study in preparation for university. Twenty one students achieved A*/A grades in the Extended Project Qualification. This is an amazing achievement which aptly endorses Invicta’s commitment to developing well rounded students.
