Ski Trip to Italy
Mrs Robertson sent us this report:
“The Invicta ski trip to Champoluc, Italy took place over the February half term. 36 students and 7 members of staff travelled by coach to the resort. Accommodation was in the hotel, Le Soleil. Over a third of the students had participated in previous Invicta ski trips which together with the seven students who had participated in the 11 week course of dry slope lessons at Chatham, meant that the majority of the group were experienced skiers. This allowed them to take advantage of the extra skiing offered after lessons and ski with friends in different ability groups.
There was a varied après ski program including a karaoke night, pizza evening, a table tennis tournament and visit to an ice cream parlour.
Everyone made such good progress in their skiing but congratulations to all our skiers of the day, Anissa Yiannakou, Nuala Llewellyn, Mia Kingston, Bryony Boeshart-Thomas, Francesca Whetstone and Charlotte Fife. Further congratulations to Francesca Whetstone who has been selected for consideration for the Interski scholarship program which sponsors students of exceptional ability through levels 1 and 2 of the BASI instructor training.
There are 42 students already signed up for the Ski Trip 2018 to Pila, Italy."
Thank you to Mrs Robertson and Mr Velk for their hard work before and during the ski trip.
