Year 8 Activity Week in Norfolk
Organiser, Mrs Payne sent us the following report:
“At 9.00am Monday morning, we loaded the coaches with 180 excited Year 8 students, ready to spend a week in Norfolk full of adventurous activities. After a long coach journey, involving lots of singing the girls arrived eager to get started on their first activities. Throughout their five day stay students experienced a range of new and exciting, and for some daunting activities including; climbing, caving, quad biking, zipwire, shelter building, mask making, bouldering, campfire obstacle courses and many other teambuilding activities.
The students were an absolute credit to the school and many of the centre staff commented on how polite the girls were and how they had never had a group before that was so enthusiastic and ready to try anything. All of the student threw themselves into each activity and many overcame some of their fears, trying things they never thought they could do. I was also extremely proud of all of the support the students gave each other with plenty of encouragement and cheering.
After five days of adventure Year 8 had got very muddy, very wet, very hot and very tired but they all still had huge smiles on their faces and were full of stories from their week, even the staff were still smiling. A fantastic time was had by all.”
Thank you to Mrs Payne and her team for making the Activity Week so much fun.
