Year 5 Familiarisation Workshop - Sport
On Saturday, 16 April, 10 Year 5 students from a variety of local primary schools attended a PE Workshop at Invicta. The first part of the session was dedicated to team building activities designed to develop cooperation, problem solving, verbal and non-verbal communication skills. A range of activities were enjoyed and successfully completed by all. The girls competed against each other in two teams for the duration of the workshop. In the second part of the session, students played against each other in a game of Trampette Ball, a game closely linked to Netball. The girls adapted to this very well and demonstrated some excellent netballing skills and knowledge. The final score was a draw between the teams which was a great reflection of the effort and perseverance demonstrated by all the students.
Thank you to Ms Wain for delivering the workshop. The students had a fantastic time.
