Invicta's Erin attends a Curry Workshop
Invicta student Erin Payne won the runner up prize in the recent Kent Cooks Competition. Her prize was to attend a curry master class. She sent us this report:
“As a result of getting into the finals of Kent Cooks Competition, the other finalists and I were invited to a curry master class at East Kent College, with Mr Paul Babra who owns an Indian restaurant. At this master class, we were taught about different ingredients and spices and how they can be used in various curry dishes. The chef and his wife cooked a number of dishes for us. They included: a chicken tikka, pilau rice, raita (a sauce often served with Indian dishes) and a chickpea curry. All of which were delicious! I found this workshop very interesting and I will definitely use some of the tricks and tips I learnt for my cooking in the future”.
Well done Erin for being the runner up in this competition.
