GCSE Level Results are yet again outstanding!
Students at Invicta Grammar School achieved not only an outstanding set of A Level results but also gained a superb set of GCSE results with 100 % A* - C and 55% A*/A grades, totalling 1130 A*/A grades across the board; a superb achievement for the school that was undoubtedly the best performing school at A Level in Maidstone last week.
Julie Derrick, Kent Messenger Headteacher of the Year, commented ‘We are exceptionally proud of our students and staff. Their results are testament to their dedication and commitment in a time when we have huge changes in educational reform, with moving grade boundaries and substantially more rigour. It is a real pleasure to see so many happy young women excited at their achievements and to be returning to Invicta for the next stage of their life journey. We have been overwhelmed with the recent growth of our Sixth Form and results like this will reinforce numbers once again! Putting these results together with our excellent A Level results, makes Invicta the number one choice of secondary school in Maidstone.”
The percentage of students who have 8 A*/A grades has increased to 45% which is a phenomenal achievement. In addition to this, our trend for both consistency and continual improvement is cemented with the following:
We had over 16 students with straight A*/A grades.
We had 45% students achieving 8 or more A*/A grades.
We had 30% students with 10 or more A*/A grades.
In a cohort of 166 students, 100% students achieved 5A*-C grades.
The school is delighted with some notable achievements for individual students:
Sarah Hunter and Catherine Lincoln who both achieved 12 A*/A in their GCSEs and an A grade in their AS Level, which they have taken a year early.
Sophie Aujard and Harriet Turner who both achieved 11 A*/A in their GCSEs and an A grade in their AS Level, which they have taken a year early.
We are also very proud of Farhart Tasmin who achieved 12 A*/A in her GCSEs and a B grade in her AS Level, which was also taken a year early, along with Sophie Chase who achieved 12 A*/A grades at GCSE.
Laura Hooker too, who achieved 11 A*/A grades in her GCSEs and 2 A grades in her AS Levels. What an achievement!
Sarah Hunter, our top performing student commented ‘I am absolutely thrilled with my results. I cannot believe it. My teachers all said that I would do well, but now it is a reality, I am so excited and proud to be an Invicta student. I can’t believe it. I’m just so happy and proud of myself.’ Sarah is continuing her education at Invicta and will be studying A Level Maths, Physics, History and Art Textiles.
Catherine Lincoln commented, ‘I am so happy and proud that all the hard work paid off. I can’t wait to start my A Levels in Maths, Physics, Computing and Further Maths.’
