Primary Engineer STEM Project
Sixteen students from Invicta Grammar School are busy working towards completion of their “STEM Leaders Award” and as part of this qualification they have been leading a Primary Engineer project with 24 Year 5 students from Roseacre Junior School. The project that the students are leading enables the primary students to design and manufacture an electrical powered car, using some tools and machinery that they have never even seen before like Invicta’s laser cutter.
The project is being run as a competition between the six groups of Year 5 students and their cars are being designed to be as aerodynamic as possible with the aim of winning the time trial race which will take place when the Roseacre students return to Invicta on 19 March 2014.
Well done to every one involved.
