Year 6 Computer Science Workshop
On Thursday, 25 March, 19 Year 6 students attended our Virtual Computer Science transition workshop. We focused on graphical programming, combining algorithms with Maths to calculate the exterior angles of shapes, and then program them on Scratch online. The girls who attended did a fantastic job! We programmed everything from a basic red square to a multicoloured repeated polygon and I was very impressed with the practical skills they were demonstrating.
The workshop was held on Microsoft Teams and although the technology ran smoothly, I would like to give a big thank you to the students in 7C who attended the session to showcase their own algorithms, and support with questions and online technical help. Well done everybody!
