Art and DT Exhibition
From Monday, 15 July – Tuesday, 16 July the Art and DT Department held their annual exhibition, allowing students and parents to admire the excellent work from this year. Held both in the common room and the art studio, there was a wide variety of work from students across the school.
Mrs Lloyd commented:
“It was an outstanding exhibition from students in Year 11 and 13 across art and DT, with highlights from Year 7 and 8 DT. This year, we aimed to showcase DT alongside Fine Art which proved a great success. All the work was to an extremely high standard from all students- reflecting the hard work from both staff and students. Prizes were awarded for excellence across all subjects and it was wonderful to have many students and families there to support the department.”
Mrs Lloyd was also thrilled to be presented a scarf from her 2019 class- a sentiment that she will treasure for many years.
Mrs Hambley commented:
“Truly fabulous work by students who have worked extremely hard all year. The level of creativity has been exceptional and is a testament to the effort and determination that students have put in all year. The art exhibition was extremely well attended by parents and students from Fine Art, Art and Design, Photography and Art Textiles. Well done everyone!”
A huge well done to the Art and DT department for another successful exhibition- the creativity and talent of this year’s students is exceptional. We look forward to next year’s exhibition!
