Christmas Charity Appeal
Mrs Le Sbirel sent this report:
‘Thank you very much to everyone who kindly donated to our two local Christmas appeals, the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal and the Homeless Care You Can Help Appeal. As you can see from the photographs you have been very generous again this year. I have received messages of thanks from both organisations. A special mention to Thibau Grummett of Frank 2 who brought in 150 cans! Here is his story:
‘When I applied to Pearson College, London, they sent me a chocolate advent calendar and a challenge – whoever posted the best image of the calendar on Instagram would win an Amazon voucher. I sold the calendar and used the money to buy cookies, which I then sold. Gradually I made more and more money, and I used this money (together with some donations from Frank 2) to buy 150 cans for the homeless. I’ve learnt how money works, and more importantly, how I can get it to work for me. I’d urge anyone interested in business to make their own story. If you get something for free, use it to generate more money. Who knows where it will end, you might be able to get more than just 150 cans of food for free!’ Well done Thibau!
It is no surprise that Frank win the prize for collecting the most can and have been awarded 50 House Points. In second place was Roddick (30 points) and in third place Colvin (10 points).’
