POP Primary Workshop
Emily in 13N sent in this report.
‘31 Invicta Grammar School students from Years 7-10 visited Leybourne Chase Primary School on Wednesday, 1 November as part of their POP sessions. This workshop was the first of four visits to this Primary School in which the students worked closely with years 3-6.
The purpose of the visit was to produce workshops for the students about UNICEF, which is an organisation that promotes the welfare and needs of children; our sessions were primarily based on the different rights of a child. Each group of Invicta students had chosen a specific 'Right' which they will present to small groups across the four weeks. The primary students took part in different activities including colouring in the UNICEF logo, creating their dream school, as well as learning about the organisation itself.
Thank you very much to Mrs Craig and Leybourne Chase Primary School for hosting the first POP Primary Workshop. We look forward to the next three weeks of workshops supporting the UNICEF Rights of the Child.’
Miss Puttock, Mrs HcHale and Miss Lacey would also like to say ‘well done’ to the students for the hard work in planning the fun and engaging workshops!
