Employment
The ultimate aim for the Careers Department at Invicta is to enable students to secure longer term employment in a job which gives the student satisfaction and happiness. We provide our students with the necessary advice and guidance to enable them to job hunt and be successful in their job applications. This includes guiding them on completing psychometric tests to help them decide on a chosen field of work, providing them with resources to complete job research which will enhance their job hunting skills and advertising vacancies in school.
Those seeking employment after Year 13, are positively encouraged to seek employment with training in order that they continue to enhance their qualifications; thereby extending the opportunities they have longer term. Students are provided with personalised advice on apprenticeships, job application procedures and are supported with a school reference to enable them to secure that first job.
Whilst still relatively new opportunities, we are very keen to raise student awareness of degree level apprenticeship opportunities through our careers education and guidance programme. We are building good links with employers who are offering these exciting opportunities and students can find out more through careers interviews and drop-ins at lunchtime clinics.

What the students say:
My goal is to find a job as a Trainee Accountant at the end of Year 13. The vacancies notice board at Invicta has kept me informed of opportunities available to me and I know the Careers Adviser will review my letter of application and CV to help me achieve my goal. (Year 13 student).
