Transition Programme for Year 6 Students

Welcome to Invicta's Year 6 Transition Programme

The girls who join us in September 2018 will be our Class of 2025, when they complete their studies. To prepare them to be our Class of 2025, we have developed a number of Year 6 Transition Workshops. We would like to invite your daughter to a selection of these Team Invicta related sessions.  Students who have participated in these workshops in the past, have found the transition to becoming an “Invicta girl” much more straightforward.  We consider these to be the first lessons that our students have with us! They will promote your daughter’s confidence and team building skills. Students have the opportunity to experience teaching and learning at Key Stage 3, whilst making new friends and enjoying themselves. If you would like your daughter to attend, please book via the online booking system that can be found on the front page of our website www.invicta.viat.org.uk. We anticipate a lot of interest, so ask that you select just two workshops for your daughter to attend. Please download and complete the consent form at the same time, which should be brought to the first workshop your daughter attends (unless she has previously attended a workshop at Invicta). The closing date for booking is Friday, 10 November 2017.

Each workshop will link the Invicta core values with key skills to aid your daughter in her learning.  We hope that by the time students enter Year 7 they have frequently visited the school; each time familiarising themselves with the staff, students and the school environment.  This will make their transition so much easier and happier!

If you have students who will/may be sitting the Kent Test for entry to grammar school, the company who create the tests for KCC (GL Assessment) now have free familiarisation tests published on their website: here.

Parents comment:

"We just wanted to take this opportunity to send you an email to thank you for all you have done with the transition work.

It is because of this my daughter is so excited about September. I am absolutely certain that the support and hard work that you have organised has made Invicta already feel so welcoming to both us as parents and to my daughter herself. Thank you.

The taster day and all the various meetings we have attended have been thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff are so friendly smiling and warm. We have had such a positive experience throughout.

We are both looking forward to September immensely and I just know how happy she will be there.

Thanks again and I wish you a restful and relaxing summer."
