2017 Fashion Design Trip to Italy - Blog 6
The final day was spent at the school. During the morning the students working in the groups from the first day and finished their presentations on key Italian Fashion designers which were then presented before lunch. The teams provided a great deal of detail and were most informative.
After lunch they worked on creating three dimensional fashion from brightly coloured crepe paper. Much fun was had while generating their products which were then show cased at the end and a winner selected. The Invicta group had also been asked to complete a watercolour postcard which would be posted back to the UK to create a ‘Postcard’ from Italy exhibit and a winner was decided. Further prizes were awarded for the best overall sketchbook and the best recording throughout the visit. The postcards were excellent and the winner was Summer Burchell, the best sketchbook prizes went to runner up Shubbie Olutogunpolu and winner, Katy Barton and the best recording of the overall trip went to Isabel Williamson.
There were lots of tears and joy as the group said their goodbyes to their hosts and boarded the coach to return to Malpensa airport. Eve Grundy was met by her parents at the airport for a wonderful surprise for her 18th birthday and she was going to be able to stay on in Milan while the rest of the group sadly had to fly home.
