Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Walk
Mrs Smart sent us this report:
“On Saturday, the Bronzes completed their expedition training walk up onto the Downs near Thurnham. The weather was lovely, clear and sunny, although it was quite windy once the students had made the long climb up onto the top. The views were amazing and the groups all had a chance to practise their navigation and teamwork skills ahead of their first expedition in May. All of the teams did really well, successfully completing their routes in high spirits before returning to school to cook lunch, pitch tents and finish their first aid training. They are now all looking forwards to their first overnight camp.
I would like to thank all of the staff that gave up their weekend to help train the girls. Miss Dixon, Miss Poulter, Mrs Pink, Mr Ehren, Mrs Le Sbirel, Miss Laxton, Mrs Robinson, Mr Taylor.”
Thank you Mrs Smart for giving up another weekend and for supporting the students
