Year 5 Physics Familiarisation Workshop
The Key Stage 5 Physics Workshop was a huge success on Saturday, 7 January. Students explored the power of fruit; testing to see which would generate the highest voltage in a simple circuit. Lemons were right at the top of the table but an honourable mention must go to the humble grape in second place. After a short break (with a suitably fruity snack!) we made 'squidgy' circuits using conductive dough to make animals with glowing LEDs for eyes! It was great to see so many prospective students working together to discover something new. We are now looking forward to welcoming students for the next workshops in February, March and May.
Thank you to Dr Crouch and Mrs McGrath for running this workshop.
