Charity Christmas Appeals
The Salvation Army Toy Appeal :Once again, Invicta Grammar School students, with the support of their parents/carers, have proved what a kind, considerate and charitable community we have. The Salvation Army Toy Appeal, designed to help less fortunate children in and around Maidstone, ran for the week through Rag Week, when students are already making daily contributions to other school charities. Nonetheless, students brought in a tremendous total of 204 toys. The Salvation Army had particularly appealed for older boys toys and so we had a number of footballs, a dartboard, a skateboard and even a Stikbot. A massive thank you to all the students who contributed to help put a smile on some child’s face on Christmas Day and a Reward sticker for all in Frank and Nightingale for bringing in the most toys. Well done to you all!
You Can Appeal: Thank you to everyone who brought in cans and food stuffs to the KM You Can Appeal. Nearly 400 items were donated.
Mr Hancock who organised the collections for both appeals said “A massive big thank you on behalf of the Salvation Army and the Maidstone Homeless Day Centre for all your charitable contributions regarding toys and tin cans. You all should feel pleased that these contributions will go to help make a better Christmas for those less fortunate than most of us. When it comes to Charity - NO school does it better than Invicta!!”
Thank you Mr Hancock for you hard work on behalf of these charities.
