Young Chamber Business Lunch
Friday, 25 November saw the sixth Invicta Business Lunch to be hosted by Invicta Young Chamber. The aim of the event is to allow the local business community to come into school, to network with each other and the students and learn about our Enterprise aspirations. The students gave a presentation, in which they explained to our business colleagues how they incorporated entrepreneurial skills in the activities carried out at Invicta. Whether through Young Chamber, in the wider school community or internationally. The Business Lunch was well attended with a wide spectrum of business interests represented.
Udochi Adiukwu, Jodie Charman and Rebecca Larkman delivered a very informative and interesting presentation and many people commented on how articulate and confident they were throughout; a vote of thanks was given by Erin-Jane Roodt and Mr Lavender (Director of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce). The presentation showcased Invicta in an excellent light.
After the buffet lunch there was plenty of time for the students to chat with the visitors in an informal setting. The students rose to the occasion being very professional in their approach.
The lunch was initially sponsored by Sahota Newcomb Scott Solicitors. Daisy Lets, Letting Agents and Mr Carl Taylor added to the sponsorship after the event and we thank them very much for their help, it is much appreciated. Many links were made with businesses, which are being followed up by the school and it was lovely to receive so many positive comments and thank you letters over the last few days.
Thank you to Mrs Bennett, Mrs Brewster and Mrs Berry for supporting the students to host this event. As ever, we are very grateful to Mr Lavender for his professional and business support.
