Invicta Over 60's River Trip
On Friday 10 June, the Invicta Over 60s Group met beside the river for a 3 hour cruise along the River Medway on the Kentish Lady. In the afternoon sun we ate fish and chips and listened to the commentary about the local history along the river, whilst cruising under medieval bridges and passing through locks on our way to Teston. At Teston, the boat turned round and we made our way back down the river passing herons, swans, ducks and even a turtle! The group had the opportunity to chat to the other passengers who had travelled from South Africa and Australia. Everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.
A huge thank you to Miss Pope for organising the great event.
