Year 5 PE Familiarisation Workshop
On Saturday 14 May, 20 Year 5 students participated in the Invicta “Road to Rio Challenge”.
They had the opportunity to complete an athletics 'triathlon', consisting of a 75m sprint, javelin throw and long jump. The girls had never experienced throwing a real javelin before so it was incredible to give them the chance to experience real athletic events. Every student was fully involved and especially enjoyed jumping into the sand pit! All students were awarded with certificates and some students achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold awards too! Many congratulations to the girls on their efforts – Ms Parish looks forward to doing more workshops with them in the future.
Thank you to Ms Parish and Miss Palmer for running the workshop.
