Secondary Maths Challenge Final
We welcomed 10 teams of students from Years 10 and 11 to the final of the Invicta Team Maths Challenge on Monday, 14 March.
The challenges were arranged into five rounds lasting from 20 to 50 minutes. The teams had to decide how best to use their skills and how to split up the questions between them. The rounds tested a variety of skills including using a medieval number system. The final round consisted of relay questions where one answer was needed to answer the next question. There were one or two outstanding students in the top 3 three teams.
The final result was:
Tonbridge Girls Grammar 2 165
Tonbridge Girls Grammar 1 161
The Judd School 158
Mrs Derrick presented the Invicta Cup to the winners and congratulated the participants, all of whom scored over 95 points.
We would like to thank Mrs Stoneham for all her hard work on the Maths Challenge over this past year.
