Amnesty International Workshop at Leybourne Primary
Invicta students from the Personal Opportunities Programme (POP) Amnesty group produced an exciting Human Rights Workshop for Year 6 students at Leybourne Primary School. The session began with an overview about what human rights are, followed by a lively group discussion about discrimination, where students examined a series of images related to discrimination in today's society. The group then worked hard to produce the best Amnesty candle, using their creative skills to illustrate what they thought our most important human rights are. The Invicta students decided the winners based on their ability to convey human rights through their candles and there were some fantastic entries! Well done Leybourne Year 6!
A big thank you and well done to Invicta students: Erin-Jane Roodt, Hollie Tomlinson, Lydia Levett and Festina George-Sawyer who delivered this interesting and thought provoking session. Thank you also to Miss Laming for her hard work in preparing our students for this thought provoking workshop.
