Kingshill Primary Healthy Eating Workshop
Food Technology Teacher Miss Sibley sent us this report:
“Kings Hill Primary students visited Invicta recently to take part in the second part of their Healthy Eating Workshop. The primary students cooked a healthy couscous salad, using the knowledge they learnt previously about healthy eating and the ‘eatwell plate’.
Our Year 9 girls really enjoyed working with the students, teaching basic cooking skills; and I know the primary students thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. Their head teacher reported that his students have been talking about the workshop to their friends and many have started cooking at home too! We gave each Kingshill student a cookery book which are already being used.
This was a fantastic opportunity for both schools and all students gained so much from the experience. We hope the students have another opportunity to join us for some more cooking soon."
Thank you to Miss Sibley and her team for the hard work preparing and delivering these workshops.
