Real Business Challenge - SE Regional Final
Students Ella Bailey, Robin Govier, Ayushma Gurung, Ellie Nguyen, Ailish Slater-Buckett and Eileen Sagrue took part in the Real Business Challenge on Tuesday, 2 February at The American Express Community Stadium in Brighton.
Student Ayushma Gurung sent us this report:
“We had to create a healthy fruit juice brand in the local challenge, to earn our place in the South-East Regional Finals. We were fortunate to be one of the best 10 teams out of 114 schools in the South-East and so booked our place at the Regional Finals which took place at The American Express Community Stadium in Brighton.
For the regional finals, we spent the day creating an anti-litter campaign, which meant we completed many tasks: making a bus stop poster, launching an event, creating an app, launching a social media campaign, designing a mascot and making a power point. We enjoyed the different tasks as they were very challenging. However, we all agreed that our favourite part of the day was watching the teachers’ challenge!
As a group, we had an amazing time and were glad that we had the honour to go on this trip and gain so much experience. We had a great insight into the business world, which has made us even more enthusiastic about the rest of our GCSE Business Studies course. Overall, it was a wonderful challenge and an experience we will remember for a long time.”
Thank you Ms Poulter for taking the students to this event.
