Year 5 Primary Workshop - Business and Enterprise
Year 5 primary school students were invited to take part in a Business and Enterprise workshop on Tuesday, 6 October 2015. The theme was sustainability and students were asked to consider the impact that plastic bags had on the environment - they showed their excellent knowledge of the need for sustainable resources! They also kept up to date with news with the new legislation requiring large retailers to charge 5p to customers for a plastic bag.
In light of these changes, students where then asked to combine business promotion and sustainability by designing a “Bag for Life”. It was focused on the World Wildlife Fund and students took their inspirations from the bag using the WWF brand.
Students were able to take away their new reusable bag and hopefully have been using it frequently not only help environmental issues, but also to avoid a 5p charge!
Thank you to Miss Gater who delivered the workshop. The students were very keen to share their experiences with their parents who were waiting to collect them in Reception.
