F1 in Schools in Singapore - An Update
Invicta students are currently competing at the F1 in Schools Final in Singapore. Mrs Woolley, the teacher who is accompanying the students sent us this report on Day 3 of the competition:
"Of the 47 teams involved, only two have received zero penalty points for breaching the extensive list of rules in the design and manufacture of the car. We are delighted that Cyclone Racing is one of them. However, keeping to these strict rules has unavoidably made our car slower. Despite not reaching the top ten slot, we find ourselves in the top 24, which is the cut-off position for the knockout competition. We do not yet know where we are within this top group, as there are a few cars still to be eliminated for failing to meet the standards. Suffice it to say that 23 teams are no longer in the running. So a tense day awaits us tomorrow."
