Guide Dog Puppy Training
On Thursday, 17 September, Invicta received a visit from a Guide Dog puppy in training. Jolly is intended to be used by a young person attending a school and so her trainer needed to see how she behaves in a school. She attended the Year 7 assembly and met students in Reception. We all hope that she does well so can continue her training.
Invicta was selected as the test school due to all of the fantastic work they do for the Guide Dogs Association. Last year enough money was raised for Invicta to adopt another puppy. Mr Ehren and his team of dedicated volunteers will be fund raising again this year. The first fund raiser will be an opportunity to name the new Invicta puppy. Last year, the name Trixie was suggested and we have been very fortunate to have met Trixie on a number of occasion. We are looking forward to adopting a second puppy and seeing the second one progress and flourish in her training as well.
