Loose Primary Art Workshop
On Thursday, 20 November students from Loose Primary School visited Invicta for an Art Workshop. The students, ranging from Year 3 to 6 worked alongside six of our Year 9 girls to produce exciting canvases depicting literary characters. In this, the first of three workshops, primary and IGS students worked in small groups to use interactive whiteboards to project the complex illustrations onto large canvases. All of the students showed great teamwork, sharing ideas and helping one another to capture the fine details. The groups then moved on to discussing colour theory before beginning to paint the base tones on to their canvases. In future workshops the canvases will be developed further with more painted layers and refinement of the finishing touches. The finished pieces will be exhibited back at Loose Primary School.
