Billingsgate Fish Market comes to Invicta
Year 7, 8 and 9 experienced a fish workshop provided by Billingsgate Fish Market from London on 10 June. The students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of fish, sustainability, to peel a prawn and make haddock pate and a fish stir fry. Some students were brave enough to pick up the squid and octopus! John West kindly donated a tin of pink salmon and some recipe ideas to every student to take home and experiment with. Billingsgate Fish Market also presented Invicta Grammar School with a Billingsgate fish recipe book to thank us for taking part in an Art Competition last year. We are thrilled to have such a great connection with them and the students have learnt so much from the experience!
