Year 7 Visit St Omer
On Thursday, 22 May, Year 7 arrived at school at 6.30am, ready for a trip to France, to carry out Geography fieldwork and to develop a better knowledge of French vocabulary.
The first focus of the day, was to investigate the features of Cite Europe and to consider how the popularity of this shopping centre could cause problems. Students then travelled to St Omer in order to practise data collection techniques such as land use surveys and the index of decay charts.
They all worked very efficiently so there was time to fit in some shopping too! Thank you to Miss Dixon and Mrs Bennett from the Geography Department for organising the trip.
