Disney Day for Amanda
Students and Staff at Invicta held a special Disney Day on Friday, 2 May. The event was aimed at raising funds for the Royal Marsden Hospital as we continue to celebrate the memory of our former student Amanda Slann.
Reception was full of Minnie Mice, Dalmatians, pirates and assorted Disney characters on the morning, as members of the Sixth Form collected £1 from students and staff as they arrived at school. The Disney themed cake sale was a great success with many students and parents baking cakes that were sold at break time.
At lunch time a Balloon Race was launched. Students and staff gathered at the new Izatt Building for the great balloon release. The school’s details have been recorded on each balloons tag and the person whose balloon travels the furthest will win a prize.
Thank you to Mrs Rivers and the senior prefect team who organised this charity event.
Breaking News: £737.85 has been raised. Well done to everyone who took part.
