Duke of Edinburgh - Silver Practice Expedition
The morning of Friday, 25 April saw four groups of Silver Duke of Edinburgh students setting off into the mist through Mereworth Woods on their practice expedition. After walking through the day, they arrived late afternoon at the campsite on top of the North Downs.
The three day expedition was very successful with all the students demonstrating good map skills and producing some very appetising meals on their trangia stoves. They are now looking forwards to their final expedition in July, on the coast near Folkestone
Thank you to Mrs Smart, Miss Laxton and Miss Campbell and their partners who gave up their time over a weekend to support the students.
