Ski Trip to Italy
During the Easter break, a group of 39 and 6 staff set off by coach to La Thuile in Italy for the annual Invicta Grammar School Ski Trip.
Students were expecting cold weather but arrived to sunny temperatures of 18c. La Thuile is a pretty mountain town with fantastic skiing. One student commented “Skiing was so much fun, even falling over countless times made us all laugh. It was warm at the top of the mountain and the snow was great”. Over the week, the skiing abilities of the students improved dramatically with nominations being made daily for the most improved skier and “Dip Stick of the Day”. At the end of the trip, medals and certificates were awarded and special prizes were given to the most improved skier.
The students particularly enjoyed the evening entertainment, especially listening to the teachers singing at the karaoke night. They were also impressed with the rooms which were more like apartments with kitchens and living rooms.
Another student said “We all had such an amazing time that we will certainly never forget and cannot wait to go again”.
Thank you to Ms Robertson and Mr Velk for organising the trip.
