Staff Profiles - 2021-2022
Name: Lynsey Buckland
Role: Student Support Administrator – Year 8 and 9
Favourite Book: Too many to choose from – Probably a crime novel by an Author like Martina Cole.
Favourite Film: Van Wilder – Party Liason is about my level of humour – or The Christmas Chronicles as it is getting to that time of year.
Hobbies: Horse riding, although not so often since I’ve had children. It is on my to do list to get back into again, as I really miss it. I used to compete for my university and have a fair few rosettes up in the attic!!
Favourite Food: Fajitas or a really nice anti-pasti
Favourite Holiday Destination: Goa was my favorite. Iceland for the Northern lights is on my bucket list. In reality, I would be thankful for a plane to anywhere sunny and warm with a nice sea view right now.
What is the most challenging thing you have achieved? I was quite poorly in my younger years and was told I’d do well if I achieved 5 GCSE’s. I now have a degree and a previously successful professional career as a Project Manager in Mechanical Engineering before I had my children and decided on a different path for myself.
How have you found your first term at Invicta? Very very busy, there is never a dull moment in the Student Support Centre. I really enjoy the variety of work I do and the students here are fabulous.
