Year 7 Fieldwork Trip
Mr Moye sent this report:
On Tuesday the Geography Department took Year 7 on a local field trip around the nature reserves in Maidstone, including Spot Lane and Bearsted Green. Pupils were investigating environmental quality, wildlife and quiet green spaces and they will now use lessons to put together advertisements for the public! Well done Year 7 on a very successful outing!
Oyin in 7N said 'Our Geography trip to Mote Park was a great experience! We were even lucky enough to see duck and geese at the pond! The Nature Reserve was the best part as there was many plants and the trees’ leaves were beautiful autumnal colours. We hope future Year 7s enjoy the trip as much as we did!'
Charlotte in 7N said 'The trip began at Fauchons Lane and ended at Mote Park lake, it was a really fun day that included many great activities. It was an amazing chance to showcase Maidstone's beautiful wildlife. I am very grateful for this chance and I highly recommend. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.'
Daniela in 7N said 'Our Geography trip to Mote Park was wonderful as we saw lots of different places in Maidstone that I didn’t know were there and stopped to appreciate the nature around us, like squirrels and colourful leaves. We carried our note books with us, describing and drawing the area’s that we stopped at. I’m sure future Year 7s will enjoy this trip as much as we did!
