Jess in 8C sent this report:
On Wednesday, 13 October Year 7 and 8 football team travelled up to Bromley to play the Hayes school. Everyone was nervous yet exited for our first match as a team. Unfortunately, the teams goal keeper was absent so Samina in 7Istepped up to take her place. Samina did a brilliant job in goal and the team is very proud of her.
We started off well, creating loads of chances and then from the edge of the box scored a great goal in the corner! 0-1 Invicta. Unfortunately, soon after it was 1-1. The Invicta team were very consistent and played well until in the last 15 minutes Hayes scored again to make it 2-1. We created loads of chances but just couldn’t hit the back of the net! Despite the score we still enjoyed our first match as a team, better luck next time!
Well done to the team : Samina in 7I, Leah in 7C, Sienna in 7V, Bathseba in 7A, Abbie in 7N, Mimi in 7T, Matilda in 7T, Eva in 8C, Grace in 8C, Aimee in 8G, Amber in 8V, Jasmine (captain!) in 8S, Jess in 8C and Rosie in 8T. Many thanks to Mrs Scorer and Grace Garret for taking us in the mini bus and supporting us through the match.
