Year 7 Planetarium
Mr Rzepka sent this report:
Year 7 students took part in a planetarium which included a presentation using props to explain how to navigate the night sky, explaining night and day, eclipses, phases of the moon and gravitational forces of the moon on our earth.
NASA footage was also shown, explanations of planets and how stars are formed from collapsing nebula.

'The planetarium was an astronomically good experience! We learnt about stars, planets, the moon and astronauts. We learnt about the stars and constellations and were named by the Greeks who named them after animals and people so they were easier to spot. I loved learning about Space and how even though its dark all day on the Moon you can only see the stars at night. My favourite part was learning about how there is a machine on mars called the Rover that is currently shut down due to the signal between Earth and Mars being blocked by the sun. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants to learn about space.
