German Exchange
Sadiya and Molly in 10C sent this report:
On Thursday, 28 November, students from Invicta Grammar School travelled to Rheine, Germany where they met their exchange partners from the Kopernikus-Gymnasium. The following day we were fortunate enough to experience what a day at school in Germany is like before spending the evening cooking a dinner with our exchange partners for the whole group, including our teachers. The weekend was spent doing activities such as mini golf and ice-skating with our host families. Over the next few days, students spent lots of time with their exchange partners practising German as well as going on outings such as trips to the Lindt Chocolate Museum in Cologne, where we also sampled several Christmas markets. Students also took part in a trip to the nearby town of Münster and a town rally in which we explored Rheine. This exchange helped us to form an understanding of German culture and language. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, making new close friends and would recommend it to any German language students! Thank you to Frau Robinson and Mr Masters for organising the exchange and accompanying us.
