STEM Tetrahedron Final, BAE Systems
Honor in 7T sent this report:
'On Thursday, 24 May 4 Year 7 girls took part in the STEM Tetrahedron Finals at BAE Systems in Rochester. Earlier this year, in January we took part in a challenge making a ginormous tetrahedron on the Izatt plaza. As a result of great teamwork we won and proceeded to the final. Firstly, at the final we had to make a sphere out of straws and split pins. Secondly, and the main challenge that we would be judged on was building a bridge with k’nex without any support in the middle. The bridge had to hold 2KG of sugar and would be judged on its total length and appearance. After 2 hours of hard work, resilience and lots of trial and error we were placed joint winners with Sackville. The team was myself, Demi, Elizabeth and Rachel. Well Done Girls!'
