Young Chamber and Interact Business Lunch
On Friday, 24 November the Annual Business Lunch hosted by Young Chamber and Interact took place, welcoming local business people for lunch on the Mezz. The afternoon comprised of: networking with the guests to talk to them about the events that Young Chamber and Interact work incredibly hard together to plan and run in order to raise money for our chosen charities, which this year are SUDEP and AICM, a speech by Chris Broom from Locate in Kent on the theme of communication in the world of business and a presentation by Bernie Ford and Amelia Cox from Young Chamber and Emma Dolman and Georgia Wishart from Interact whilst our guests, including the Mayor, Councillor Greer, enjoyed their lunch. The theme of the lunch focussed on communication and included the importance of communicating with the public, leadership, teamwork and internationalism. It highlighted how Young Chamber had put these concepts into practice during our events and how these are also themes that are important within our school.
The afternoon was a huge success and Young Chamber and Interact members managed to obtain contacts of guests that would be willing to help sponsor one of our upcoming or future events such as Burns’ Night on Saturday, 27 January 2018 or the Corporate Golf Day that we will be launching in the next few weeks.
