U19 County Finals Netball Tournament
Evie in 13T sent this report.
‘On Saturday, 25 November, the U19 Netball Team went to Rainham School for Girls to play in the County Finals Netball Tournament and it was a very cold day at -1 degrees upon arrival! The team for the tournament included Ellie, Alice,Ellie, Alex, Joelle, Ayishah, Emma, Ewelie and myself. We knew that the tournament was going to be a tough day, full of highly competitive matches however we were excited to see how well we could perform amongst the best schools in Kent. For the year 13’s this would be the last time that they would play for Invicta therefore the whole team put in maximum effort. Throughout the day Invicta played 6 matches: we won three, drew one and lost two. The games that Invicta lost were incredibly close in score, only losing by two goals against Sevenoaks and one goal against Eltham College. Alongside the draw with Benenden this meant that Invicta finished 4th overall in Kent which is still a great achievement, despite the team being slightly disappointed not to have finished higher considering the games were so tight.
We would like to thank Miss Wain for all of her help with the U19 netball team as well as Mrs Newark and all the parents for coming along to support!’
The scores for each match were as follows:
Invicta vs Sevenoaks: 7-9
Invicta vs Kent College Pembury: 11-1
Invicta vs Eltham College 9-10
Invicta vs Walthamstow Hall: 15-1
Invicta vs Tunbridge Wells Grammar: 16-8
Invicta vs Benenden: 10-10
